Program format

Scientific sessions

Peer-reviewed abstracts will be presented in 5-minute presentations, followed by audience discussion on the following topics:

  • Biomechanics
  • Spinal imaging
  • Non-operative clinical treatments
  • Surgery—cervical degenerative
  • Surgery—lumbar degenerative
  • Surgery—deformity
  • Novel technologies
  • Spinal trauma

Symposia

Symposia consist of didactic lectures presented by international faculty, followed by question and answer sessions. The proposed topics are:

  • Complications of spinal surgery
  • Advanced management of adult deformity
  • Lumbar arthroplasty
  • Cervical arthroplasty
  • Biologics for spinal disorders
  • Advanced/junctional trauma
  • Novel lumbar technologies
  • Tumors

Instructional course lectures (ICLs)

The ICLs are lectures (with refreshments served) where industry sponsors have the opportunity to publicize their organizations’ work and provoke discussion on important spine-related medical issues, and promote products and services in a professional but relaxed learning atmosphere.
